CAMHSReportage is based on tried and tested internet-technology (Apache, PHP and PostgreSQL), as
used by numerous large enterprises. The interface is browser based, so
no client software has to be distributed.
There are currently two different approaches possible:
- Hosted service model, based on a central server on the NHS-net/N3 in a secure, state-of-the-art London data centre:
- High availability
- Direct service
- Attractive pricing
- Low impact on the trusts IT department.
- In house server, which can be installed on the trusts intranet:
- Only consider in special cases.
- Higher service and maintanence costs.
- VPN connectivity required for upgrades, monitoring and servicing.
- Needs clearence with local IT department
